I recommend a 7 to 10cm self-inflating mattress. Since I only have experience with self-inflating camping mats, here’s what to look out for when purchasing one. I like it quite firm, but if you’re a “soft sleeper” an air bed might be the right option for you. While there are camp beds, air beds, foam insulating mats and self-inflating mats (SIM’s), we opted for the latter. What to sleep on when camping?
